Mohammed Qasim Al Ali is the Group Chief Executive Officer of National Bonds Corporation, the leading sharia-compliant, savings and investments company in the UAE. In his role, Al Ali leads the management of the company's growing portfolio of enterprises while overseeing the development of new and innovative savings initiatives.

Al Ali has more than 20 years of exemplary managerial experience in the UAE and overseas. In his previous roles, he has held senior management positions in the commercial divisions within the Emirates Group.

In addition to serving as General Manager for UK and Ireland at Emirates Airlines, he was also the Vice President - Customer Service and Operations at Dnata, the ground handling company at Dubai International Airport.

He started his career with Emirates as Overseas Area Manager. Mohammed Qasim Al Ali holds a bachelor’s degree in Aviation Management from the Florida Institute of Technology (FIT), as well as an IATA Diploma in Airline Management.

Ms. Lootah has over 20 years of experience in the financial industry and UAE government sector and prior to joining National Bonds Corporation P.S.C as Deputy Group Chief Executive Officer, she was the Chief Executive Officer for Mawarid Consultancy and Senior Vice President SME & Retail Business for Mawarid Finance under the Mawarid Group. Additionally, she was the board member of Mawarid Technology as well. Over the years, has created a leading legacy of multiple successful commercial and social projects as well as commercial ventures including the ‘Tamaiaz Award’ and ‘Entrepreneurs Forum (EF)’. She has been the recipient of numerous prestigious awards including UAE President H.H Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Award, and is also the world’s first woman recipient of the CIMA certification in Islamic Finance.

As a Certified Shariah Advisor and Auditor, Ms. Lootah has the precise operational and communication skills along with leadership competences to deliver and drive financial performance.

Profile: 

Hani Hussein serves as the Group Chief Operating Officer at National Bonds Corporation. In his role, he oversees the development and execution of National Bonds' operational model. Responsible for aligning the company’s growth strategy, vision and long term objectives. He provides direction on cost control, security compliance and IT portfolio management.

Hussein holds more than 23 years’ experience in IT and operational strategic policy formulation which he gained from working with international and home-grown financial institutions across the UAE, Qatar and Jordan. Hani has extensive experience in financial transition including; settlements, recon, and payments. In addition, building viable operating models, hands on digital transformation, OMNI channel and agility. Prior to joining National Bonds Corporation, Hani held a variety of senior executive positions at Doha Insurance Company and Al-Ahli Bank of Qatar.

Hani Hussein has a bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering from Northeastern University in the United States.  Hussein is part of the Jordan Engineers Association (a part of the Association of Professional Engineers of Nova Scotia). He serves as a faculty member at Princess Soumaya University in Jordan teaching computer science, engineering logic and technical lab. Hussein is also involved with the following organisations:  JICA, US Agency for International Development (USAID), United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and Royal Scientific Society in Jordan.

Saqib Mahmood serves as the Group Chief Commercial Officer at National Bonds Corporation. In his role, he oversees the development and execution of an integrated strategy for Commercial Division, in line with the vision and long-term strategic objectives of National Bonds. He provides direction to all Acquisition and Service channels, which include Branch Network, Wealth Management, Contact Center, Digital Channels, Distributors and Outsourced partners, assisting both individual and corporate customers.

Saqib holds more than 27 years of professional experience in both the public and private sector. In the last 17 years of his professional career, he has been working as a banking professional focusing on Retail and SME Banking. He has a vast experience in multiple geographies across the Middle East, Africa & Pakistan, and has worked for Standard Chartered Bank, Al Hilal Bank and Faysal Bank.

 Saqib Mahmood completed his MBA at Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS). He has attended multiple courses in banking and Islamic Finance. Saqib is an avid golfer, is married and has three kids.

Eyad Mashal is the Group Chief Investment Officer of National Bonds Corporation. As Group CIO he is in charge of executing the investment strategy and developing the annual investment plan. He is also responsible for the deployment over multiple asset classes and rebalancing the fund in a manner that would reduce risk and generate the required return.

Eyad has 25 years of experience in the field of investments and finance. Previously, he was the Managing Director and Head of MENA Investments at Al-Rashed Group; one of the large conglomerates in KSA with a sizable investment portfolio.  Eyad’s focus was primarily on private and public equity markets. He represented the Group on the board of several companies, private and public, which included higher education, pharmaceutical, food, banks and industrial companies.

Prior to that he was an Executive Director at Bank Julius Baer based in Dubai where he launched and managed the Onyx MENA Fund; one of the first dedicated opportunistic MENA hedge funds. In addition, he advised clients on global asset allocation and product selection.  Earlier, he was the head of Asset Management of Atlas Investment Group in Jordan and the head of MENA asset management of the Arab Bank Group based in Dubai. Throughout his career, Eyad structured and managed several investment funds including a long only fund (Arab Bank MENA Fund), a hedge fund (Onyx MENA Fund), a private equity fund (the Jordan Fund) and a direct real estate fund. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and a member of the CFA institute since 1999. Eyad completed his MBA and B.Sc. with honors in Accounting & Business Administration from the University of Jordan.

Mr. Khalid Al Sukhon is the Group Chief Finance Officer at National Bonds Corporation, a position he has held since December 2017. In his current role, Mr Al Sukhon oversees financial strategy, business performance, financial reporting & control and investor’s relations.

Bringing more than 25 years of experience to the business, Mr. Al Sukhon held many senior positions across banking, real estate and professional services. Prior to joining National Bonds, he spent 5 years at Al Hilal Bank as Vice President of Finance and Strategic Planning and handled several strategic projects in finance, strategy and capital management.

Mr Al Sukhon also spent 3 years at Khidmah LLC, the asset management arm of Al Dar Properties, as the founding CFO, where he was in charge of setting up and managing all finance and strategy affairs for this integrated property business from inception until achieving profitability. Adding to his wealth of experience, he also worked with KPMG as the Head of Financial Services, and also had an 8-year stint at PricewaterhouseCoopers in the United Kingdom.

Mr Al Sukhon holds a Master of Arts in Finance & Investment from the University of Exeter in the United Kingdom and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Jordan. He is a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and  the Association of Corporate Treasurers (ACT).
